Working Artist Series: Photo Clinic

  • Bluff Strokes Art Center 1201 Locust Street Dubuque, IA, 52001 United States (map)

22 Feb 1-4PM

Instructor: Erin Kono, Troy Aiken and Andonia Giannakouros

Level: Artists leaning into professional art making

$5

Learn to take quality photos of your art for more successful sales and submissions to shows, galleries, grants, etc. There will be discussion, demonstrations, and time to practice. Area artists Troy Aiken, Erin Kono, and Andonia Giannakouros will share their processes.

Taking good photos of your 2D and 3D art matters. Gallery owners, grant reviewers, juries for festivals and competitions, and online shoppers tell us that if the photos submitted don't meet expectations, then the artist can lose an opportunity.

Partially funded by the DuPaco Foundation.

What to Bring

If you use your phone to take photos, bring that. If you use a camera, bring that, too!

Bring one piece of 2D art or 3D art measuring no more than 24 inches in any dimension.

Bring your laptop, tablet, or phone for photo adjusting. Bring whichever you use most comfortably.
